WETT (Wood Energy Technology Transfer) is the national standard for education in the proper understanding of wood burning technologies. A WETT inspection covers examining the appliance for certification by a certified specialist and confirming that all clearance requirements are met. If the unit is not certified the requirements are more stringent. A WETT inspection will verify the integrity of the appliance, correct set-up, appropriate ventilation, CSA certification (if any), adequate chimney type and installation.
